Cracked Boots is a small batch distillery based in Sisters, OR. The brand speaks to its rugged roots through type choice, color, illustration style, and layout. It draws on worn imagery and a subdued, natural color palette to evoke a rustic western vibe that captures central Oregon.
Skye Travel Concierge Brand Development
For this branding exercise, I created a travel concierge and companion app based on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Speaking to an audience of over-stimulated city-dwellers in full vacation mode, I sought to create a mood that emphasized relaxation through control of whitespace, color, and texture.

Rucken Hiking App

Rucken is a hiking competition and social network. Players unlock achievements and set trail records, earning unique badges along the way. Share stats, challenge friends, or compete for the top spot on a favorite trail. The colors are inspired by cool blue-green mountain lakes and the red rocks on Colorado’s western slope. Typography and graphic elements were informed by US Forest Service maps,
Scruff Brothers Pale Ale — Scratchboard Illustration
I wanted to create a beer that spoke directly to the PNW music community. I began by reimagining Woody Guthrie as a coyote and creating an illustration in 6 inch square scratchboard. I then focused on colors, fonts, and a layout that would evoke the vibe of a folk album.
Trailhead magazine was created for outdoor enthusiasts looking to make the most of their time and limited resources.
